Alongside our statement of faith, here are additional details about specific theological topics.
From our statement of faith: "We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit."
Creekside Bible Fellowship does not endorse a specific English-language Bible translation, and we particularly reject the notion there is any one English Bible translation that has been either "re-inspired" or especially anointed by God.
There are many excellent English-language translations of Bible available to us today. These include the KJV, NKJV, ESV, NASB, NIV, and NRSV.
We encourage believers to use a translation they can understand. The ESV (English Standard Version) is used during sermons, so it may be easier for listeners to follow along with that version.
The Bible clearly teaches that our salvation is entirely a work of God according to the will and decree
- WeA gift of God
- Based on God's election (choosing)
- Not based on works
The theological term for this is "monergism".
